Time is Flying..!!

Its week 9 in college.  We have a massive workload which includes developing Web Sites, Database Systems and a Pr Project.  Along with these we are coming closer and closer to the computer lab exams and the final exams.  At this stage it is hard to find the time to meet for the group projects, let alone sitting down and developing a study plan for the  final exams!!  We have Friday off college thgis week which i think is coming at a perfect time as stress levels are high at the moment.  If i can sum up the motivation i am going to try and set up a study plan for some of my theory subjects.  It would be great if i could get some of the "TO DO's" ticked off my list.!

On another stressful note it is 6 weeks til christmas..! Dont get me wrong i love christmas and the festive spirit, the turkey dinner and lounging around with my family.  The part i dont like is the lead up to christmas, all of the rushing around the overcrowded shops hoping that what you finally pick up, just to escape the extrremely claustraphopic environment, will be the perfect present for someone.  Lee has asked for a "really cool bike" so it is great that he will get something this year that he will definately get a lot of use out of.!

Work Work Work...!!!

Week 8 in college and it seems like there is no time whatsoever to get the mountain of work done.  Seriously there is a lot of programs building up on my Sky plus without the time to watch it!!!  That is a problem!!!  I am a bit relieved that i submitted my 3 million word project, sorry 3 thousand but at one stage it felt like 3 million!!!  But in reality when i stopped concentrating so hard on that i realised just how much other things i have to do in a short period of time.

Myself and amanda had a meeting with our company for PR this morning.  I love the project and the tasks involved i just wish that there was more time to concentrate on the project because i think it is great experience working with Rubicon staff.  There is a huge amount involved in it and as soon as we look into one thing and discuss it 3 more things to do seem to pop up out of nowhere!!

At this stage in the week i am so stressed about various things that i just want the week to be over.  I hope next week will feel a little bit easier..:(

I love Halloween....

I went out with a group from college last thursday night.  Myself and Siobhan(the most innocent devil Ever!!) went to the Cats house.  We did a wee bit of drinking there and all put the finishing touches on our costumes for the night.  Cat wrynn, the ultimate queen of backcombing, went at my hair for almost half an hour until i had more volume than Tina Turner herself.  It ended up looking fantastic and i hav to say i definately looked like Beetlejuice...well the drag queen version..!!

We went into the city on the bus and a load of people were randomly breaking into Spongebob Squarepants song as our friend trish wasa cute spongebob for the night.  It was a great night altogether and virtually everybody that was out made an effort to dress up and get into the spirit of Halloween.  The only downside was the awful rain and the fact that Siobhan lost her phone...!!! The Poor little devil Siobhan..!!!!

On the day of Halloween which was on the Saturday I spent the day buying more white hair spray.  When i got home myself and lee started to carve the pumpkin.  At the starting point of this task lee was extremely excited and insisted that it was totally his job and he would have a great chance to use the special pumpkin carving kit i had bought him especially for it.  So i cut the top off the pumpkin and told lee to get started.  He looked into the pumpkin, made a face like he was going to vomit and stepped back about five paces horrified that he was expected to scoop out such a mess!!!  Needless to say the pumpkin job was left to me.!!  That evening it was time for lee to get ready as a zombie pirate to go to his friends bonfire party.  I painted his face and off we went. Cool pirate sword and all.!!

when i got back from the party with lee my friend from limerick and wexford were after arriving to stay with me for the night.  Lee went trick or treating and i once again transformed myself into drag Beetlejuice for a night out in the city.  It was a great night and we got to see a fantastic band in the Crane Lane.

Jazz Weekend

So it is Saturday night.. There are a few of us heading out to the beer festival in the Franciscan well.  It has been great craic in previous years, but always better when it's not rainin and so far tonite the rain has stayed away...so fingers crossed...I am wearing my new purple dress and new shoes tonite..

Speakin of shoes i think i should join a help group soon i have a serious addiction i cant leave them there in the shop all unloved and unappreciated..!! Hello i'm Isabel and i have a problem...!!

So hopefully tonite will go well and the plan for tomor is to meet up with the girls.. if i can go to the band i want to see in the Old Oak for a while all the better..!!!

I may head off now to doll myself up...i cant sit here blogging too long..IT IS A SATURDAY NIGHT....!!

nights out in cork....!!!

So what a great week, this is purely from the perspective of nights out..!!! Thursday night we started in rachels, headed to the loft for a short visit, and then on to the Bailey in town..there was a not too big not too small group of us out...we had our own little space to boogy away and i think everyone will agree it was a great nite...i was a bit worse for wear the next day and all of the motivation to start my web report went out the window..it turns out that it was a blessing as i have since changed my title and didnt waste too much time on the last one..

The idea was to stay in all over the weekend and study for the exams we have coming up this week...and while i did dedicate a bit of time for this..i found myself dressed up and on my way to collect the girls at 10.00 saturday night(after xfactor..of course)...i had a fantastic night only fuelled by red bull and completely alcohol free...!!!
