Jazz Weekend

So it is Saturday night.. There are a few of us heading out to the beer festival in the Franciscan well.  It has been great craic in previous years, but always better when it's not rainin and so far tonite the rain has stayed away...so fingers crossed...I am wearing my new purple dress and new shoes tonite..

Speakin of shoes i think i should join a help group soon i have a serious addiction i cant leave them there in the shop all unloved and unappreciated..!! Hello i'm Isabel and i have a problem...!!

So hopefully tonite will go well and the plan for tomor is to meet up with the girls.. if i can go to the band i want to see in the Old Oak for a while all the better..!!!

I may head off now to doll myself up...i cant sit here blogging too long..IT IS A SATURDAY NIGHT....!!

nights out in cork....!!!

So what a great week, this is purely from the perspective of nights out..!!! Thursday night we started in rachels, headed to the loft for a short visit, and then on to the Bailey in town..there was a not too big not too small group of us out...we had our own little space to boogy away and i think everyone will agree it was a great nite...i was a bit worse for wear the next day and all of the motivation to start my web report went out the window..it turns out that it was a blessing as i have since changed my title and didnt waste too much time on the last one..

The idea was to stay in all over the weekend and study for the exams we have coming up this week...and while i did dedicate a bit of time for this..i found myself dressed up and on my way to collect the girls at 10.00 saturday night(after xfactor..of course)...i had a fantastic night only fuelled by red bull and completely alcohol free...!!!

Halloween in Cork...

So halloween, some people say its a kids holiday..now im not taking away from the kids at all i totally agree they should all do their thing and i always have a decent supply of sweets to send them into a sugar buzz for days...BUT there is 100% a definite opportunity for ALOT of craic to be had if people get into the spirit, dress up and hit the fancy dress paries..!!!

I have done this for the past few years in cork and find that each year it becomes more and more fun which in turn urges people to participate more the following year after realising just how much of a laugh can be had!!!! Iv ventured to freakscene in Gorbys a couple of years ago and although it was packed i had the best laugh ever...last year i went to a few different places in town and thought i was going to stand out more in my costume but soon realised that people who don't dress up on halloween night seem to stand out more than the people who do...!!!

A Busy Week....

The focus in college this week was on applying finishing touches to our CVs..There are a huge number of different ways to lay out the Cv, i think it is simply a matter of finding the best fit for our own...The career fair was in college, which involves a number of various business's setting up stands in the college..I found them very useful and informative and all of the people i spoke to were extremely positive and friendly...unfortunately there just didn't seem to be many opportunities there for our course for work placement this year...

We sat a Human Resource Management exam on Thursday ...I think it went well enough....although...i had no sleep going in that morning as my throbbing tooth kept me awake all night...the dentist informs me its my dodgy wisdom tooth so this could be the start of a number of crappy experiences with it unless i get em all whipped out....!!!

Its going to be a quiet weekend this weekend now...and i am really looking forward to some needed relaxation...!!!

Engagement Party...

It was a busy weekend....which started off with me trying to build up the motivation to bake a batch of my famous gingerbread cookies for my sisters engagement party...finally as the hangover from thursday night faded, at 11.30 friday night, the baking began.....well it worked out that it was worth it in the end as all the ginger fellas went down very well...!!!

The party was fantastic altogether, a marquee in my sisters garden up in wexford with a stage and live rock band set up for our entertainment....and it was definately entertaining....the music was great, the food was gorgeous and ther was and endless supply of DRINK...!!! It came to an end at 5 sunday morn...and i think we were all a bit worse for wear the next day...but isnt all the sufferin the next day the sign of a sussessful night out...???
