they think its all over........

Third Year semester one..I can tell ya it did not feel like one semester to me at all.  There was so much work in involved this year.  When the projects and continous assessments were over it was straight into study for our final exams.  we have four this year over a week.

At this stage there are 2 exams finished,  Management Information systems and Public Relations.  I think they went Ok but it is hard to tell.  I found it quite hard to organise the time needed to study for each.  Usually by the end of the semester i have something prepared for the final exams but with all the projects this year, there just wasnt the time.

There is 2 more exams to go now.  I cant wait until it is over and i can just enjoy the lead up to christmas i still have to get a load of shopping done..!!

Pressure week..!!

So the pressure is building and building...week 12 has always been stressful but this year is definitely in a league of its own...i suppose in reality third year was always going to be harder!!  At least this years work will pay off with a degree and a graduation...yippee...

Our PR is almost done but there is still a bit to do and i think it is always easy to underestimate just how long some of the finishing touches can take....the same applies to the web site we are creating.  We have put a load of work into it and it looks really well, all thats left now is the finishing touches but it is taking a fair bit longer for those than i expected!!!!  Finally we have a database due in for Friday, i hope it will go well but it is the type of thing that could very easily go wrong.

So finally enough about college.  I went to Limerick for a night out with my friends this weekend, it was a great laugh. It was great craic for a night out and when we went to the shops the next day i saw a load of stuff i wanted to buy for myself but no amount of reasoning in the world could make me believe i can go on a shopping spree just before christmas...:(

Also the cold is really freakin me out lately i can just see it becoming the same or worse than last year...black ice all over the roads and crashes nearly every day..!!!  I dont mind the cold weather as long as its dry but  when it is so cold that it is actually dangerous to drive, i get nervous about being on the roads.

Sigh...!!!

I just have a very uneasy feeling that this is going to be a long drawn-out bad Bad week..!!  I am really tired at the moment and cant seen to shake it.  It doesnt matter what i actually do or how much effort i make there always seems to be another problem popping up to bug me!!!

On a more positive note....well lets face it after that moan anything at all would be a more positive note!!!  Myself and Amanda are working really well together on all of our projects.  Its just easy to get stuck in, no BS involved and things get done!! We are very nearly finished the PR and have made some progress on our database project.  I really cant wait to have them done.  The only thing is when they are out of the way there is only another set of things to do to take their place.

And on an even more positive note, i have half of my christmas presents sorted out....YAY..

Living the quiet life!!

I had a very quiet weekend again this weekend.  This is becoming a pattern these days now.  It is largely down to the fact that there is just not enough money to cover my socialising habits at all.  It is the lead up to christmas so as usual i have to carefully pick the nights that will hopefully be the best.!!

I have booked a class party for tomorrow night which i hope will be great craic for everyone that turns up!!  There were a few reasons why; one being that it is a couple of the girls birthdays and another that we have wednesday off college....WOOHOO...party on!!!!  I have to behave myself a bit tho as i have a parent teacher meeting in lee's school the following day...

I am going to get up from this laptop soon and start making the gingerbread cookies to bring to siobhans apartment tomor night (lets just call them her birthday present  ;)  I think it will be a great night altogether..there has been some talk of jello shots too...!!

I am feeling better this week about all of the work we need done for college.  Myself and Amanda worked very very hard on each of our projects last week and got a bit done on each.  It was a big load off our minds when we realised that we had covered a number of things on our to-do list.

So i think it is my last weekend for a while of doing absolutely nothing all weekend...i am kind of getting used to it tho..me and lee went to xtra vision and picked out a load of movies and microwaved some popcorn...oh and dont forget the hot chocolate...!!

Also there is always xfactor every weekend to keep us entertained.  I happen to completely agree this week with who went...Something about Jamie just didnt sit right with me.. i of course think that the twins cant sing but the fact that i sit watching this with a 7 year old JEDWARD fan, i can totally see why they are still in and in fairness everyone has their target audience.  Jedwrd just happened to tap into the audience that can skillfully pester their poor parents into picking up the phone to vote..!! ANYTHING for a peaceful life..

Time is Flying..!!

Its week 9 in college.  We have a massive workload which includes developing Web Sites, Database Systems and a Pr Project.  Along with these we are coming closer and closer to the computer lab exams and the final exams.  At this stage it is hard to find the time to meet for the group projects, let alone sitting down and developing a study plan for the  final exams!!  We have Friday off college thgis week which i think is coming at a perfect time as stress levels are high at the moment.  If i can sum up the motivation i am going to try and set up a study plan for some of my theory subjects.  It would be great if i could get some of the "TO DO's" ticked off my list.!

On another stressful note it is 6 weeks til christmas..! Dont get me wrong i love christmas and the festive spirit, the turkey dinner and lounging around with my family.  The part i dont like is the lead up to christmas, all of the rushing around the overcrowded shops hoping that what you finally pick up, just to escape the extrremely claustraphopic environment, will be the perfect present for someone.  Lee has asked for a "really cool bike" so it is great that he will get something this year that he will definately get a lot of use out of.!
